Guidelines

Location

Selected areas in the Dr H J Foley Rest Park, 140 Glebe Point Road (corner Bridge Road), Glebe.

Foley Park is on a busy corner with No Stopping zones on both sides. There is a circular access road within the Park, accessed via a single lane entrance just before the traffic lights on Glebe Point Road.

Unloading

Due to limited vehicular access to the Market site we stagger unloading times for stallholders wishing to access the site with vehicles. You will be asked in the application form how many minutes it takes you to unload to assist us with the access plan.

If you require vehicle access to the site you will need to provide registration, vehicle and driver details in order for a Council Vehicle Access Permit to be issued. All stallholders must display this permit on their windscreen or mobile phone to enter the park.

Traffic wardens will be directing vehicles on the day. Council has strictly prohibited vehicles to drive onto grassed areas or any other access into the gardens.

Alternatively, timed parking is available in the surrounding streets for stall holders able to bring their materials on foot.

Parking

There is no on site parking. Along Glebe Point Road between Broadway and Wigram Road and within a block or two either side (including Foley Park) is all timed ticket parking. From Wigram Road to the end of Glebe Point Road is untimed parking.

Photos for application

So that we can include you in our social media advertising please make sure that you have good quality photos.

Please do not place any watermarks (ie. text overlayed or logos) over any of your images.

Images MUST be 1080 x 1080 in size and square. If you are unsure how to do this, try using the PicResize Website (instructions below).

How to Use Pic Resize

Open the website and choose the image you wish to edit

Use the “Crop Selection” tool to crop your image to a square (make sure you hold down the shift key when selecting the part of the image you wish to use). If your image is already square, skip this step

In the “Resize your Picture” section, choose “Custom Size” and enter “1080” in both the “Width” and “Height” fields. This will ensure your image is 1080 x 1080 pixels in size

Press the “I’m done, resize my picture” button and then use the “Save to Disk” option to download the image to your computer.

Goods

Priority will be given to quality, locally hand-crafted goods that are original and creative. No imported goods are allowed. Stalls are selected on the quality and uniqueness of the goods and their stories. Single-use plastics are discouraged.

The MAJORITY of your product must have been HANDMADE made by you or someone else in AUSTRALIA. This excludes anything made in a factory or production line. The base of your product can be imported but it MUST have had major changes for it to be handmade.

As the Market is carefully curated to ensure a diversity of products, if you wish to include new products to your range you MUST have these approved beforehand or you may be asked to remove these from your stall.

Similar applications will be assessed based on the criteria and the number of applicants in the same category. Over-saturated categories (eg. Jewellery/candles) for this reason can be quite competitive.
